Shantou Foreign Trade Routes Reached 20

The data shows that in the past ten years, Shantou City has made every effort to accelerate the construction of key port infrastructure, and the port's service capabilities, regional influence, and competitiveness have reached a new level. The scale of Shantou's foreign trade has continued to expand. The import and export trade volume has increased from 55.57 billion yuan in 2012 to 75.34 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 35.6%, and an average annual growth rate of 3.4% in ten years.

At present, Shantou Port has 20 foreign trade routes, including 15 foreign trade liner routes and 5 domestic branch routes. In 2022, Shantou Port will have 37 port berths, including 14 10,000-ton deep-water berths, with a wharf throughput capacity of 42.22 million tons, including 1.98 million TEUs of containers. During the ten-year period, the newly increased passing capacity was 9.87 million tons, creating a good development environment for trade innovation and development.
